Agreed. ABC handled the situation terribly. Roseanne didn't deserve ANY OF THAT. She deserved punishment YES, but not in the way they gave it to her. I watched this series out of curiosity, and while not terrible it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The cast sans Goodman are a bunch of cowards! Seriously lame. Especially Gilbert. Who I can't help but feel wanted this to happen.

Yeah some of this acting has got to be therapeutic in a way..like she really did die..i mean they were kids....it was still a loss..some real.pain there & to think none of them had Roseanne's back, all those years..even if she was in the wrong..u said it "cowards"..1st time they did...guess money is more important than one's colleaugue of years..

Laurie Metcalf absolutely owns every scene she is in. She and John Goodman are the backbone of this show. I had a similar reaction to a scene where Dan accidently called Louise "Rosie". It was shocking and sad and real. When I first started watching "The Conners" I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a comedy because the subject matter has been pretty heavy most of the time, but I'm getting to appreciate the depth of acting necessary to play these parts in this new approach. It's growing on me, and Laurie is awesome, as always.

Laurie is awesome in this scene and it shows how much she misses Roseanne as we all do! I think she really felt the emptiness of missing Roseanne who was the whole show in the first place. The Connors is a far cry from the original series of Roseanne. Every time I watch the Connors, I feel an emptiness and that emptiness is Roseanne. All the actors on the show seem to need some kind of direction. There is no continuity in the scripts. They have so many other actors coming in, but they neglect the main cast. This never happened on Roseanne!

It's the worst feeling ever. There is no other feeling in the world that feels like this. I lost my only sister, my only sibling, to suicide August, 9th of 2017. She had just turned 25. We were soulmates in a sibling form. We knew when something was wrong with one another and we knew when we did something wrong to each other. It's a feeling like no other. It's heavier than grief or loneliness. Of course those things are included, but it cuts hard and it never eases up. I love my parents so much, but I do not think I will ever feel this type of heartbreak by losing anyone else. Sibling death, especially if you're close siblings. . . there's no name for it.
