As you guys in New England say, wicked cool! The 4th Gen Thunderbird is such a beautiful design, plus those sequential turn lights! Love it.

I think that this Thunderbird convertible is stunning!!! When I was in high school in the seventies my drama teacher had a 66 T-Bird that was this exact color!! It was a Town Landau, not the convertible. This is my favorite year for Thunderbird!!! 👍👍🙂

The styling on the T birds from the late fifties to mid 60's not a dog in the bunch, just beautiful cars.

@@orphancargarage5746I own a 66 Bird hardtop with manual windows. I've had it since 1995. It came with air conditioning fortunately, with the original am only radio.I don't know if the AC was standard or optional for this year's model. Here's a fun fact: The 66 Bird was the first year of the 8 Track player option. 😊

Almost bought a Town Landau at Carlisle one year, but it just needed more than I wanted to do. Always liked the beaklift for 66, tho' younger me preferred the bullet birds to these - think I've reversed that now.; same mechanicals but a generation ahead in interior and I've grown to like the creases and folds.

Always thought the 66 t bird had the coolest looking interior of any car id seen. That and the 70 imperial black interior.

Beautiful lines, remember them well as young person in the 60s. Unfortunately they all were rustbucks. Cannot be left out in weather.

The color on this Bird is Silver Mink poly, not Brittany Blue. Silver Mink is a bluish silver/grey metallic and Brittany Blue is a light/ medium blue metallic. I have a 66 Bird with 428 I'm doing a full, frame-up resto-mod with IRS, 4 wheel disc, rack and pinion and twin Torqdtorm blowers. Original color was turqouise, but changing it now. I was deciding between Silver Mink and Brittany Nlue and picked the latter. I compared examples of both a2nd went with Brittany Blue on the flip of a coin as both colors look fantastic! -DWH

Looks like a paperweight. Silly art deco design. It’s like they found a way to bend space time and then built a car. The era of Star Wars dreadnaught destroyer design, fkkk physics.

The steering wheel should not slide like that, although it does lock into place when the car is moved out of park

I don't disagree but we need to also understand that a VERY SMALL percentage of new cars in those days had A/C. Today, it's mostly standard equipment and we've come to expect it.
