1966 Mustang Fastback - A blank canvas - What to do?

Hi, I'm a longtime Ford guy, specifically Mustangs for nearly 40 years. I'm currently up to my elbows in a factory-original resto of a '66 fastback and thought I'd offer up my 0.02. Personally, my decision might start with the vehicle info. The fifth digit in the VIN denotes the original engine. If it's a A-code or - rarely - a K code, I would suggest restoring it to factory as the cars are rightside-up on the cost/value scale of restoration. Maybe even a C-code, especially if it's an original 4-speed car too. Also to consider is a low production number as it too represent market value. If it's a T-code (or even a C-code), I would consider it a blank canvas. In my experience, a restomod is only worth what the market will pay for it and one man's vision isn't going to necessarily be the next man's. If you go the restomod route, I am personally a fan of fairly original-looking exteriors (save wheels and tires which are easy for a person to change). Regardless, in today's economy, the paint and bodywork are going to take a huge chunk of the budget so I encourage you to think about what you want to get out of this in the end. Thank you, It is a C-code car not sure about factory 4 speed but I think so. Im with you i like stock look but also like the look of 17 inch wheels. I will post additional videos and there are others on my channel. When I found it and getting it running and driving it. Thanks
