I bought one in mint condition yesterday (it's basically the same one but from 1965). It's pretty awesome to use and I enjoy it a lot ! Happy that I bought this one as my first typewriter :)

Cool. Truthfully I never really liked the typing action. I preferred an Erika or Triumph Perfekt, a Kolibri etc. but it’s all individual preference!

I have been trying to repair my mother-in-law's Lettera 32 (Italic font). It appears the front of the bell is missing. Is that something that can be replaced?

Is there a key for "1"? It's funny because I've been watching few videos on Olivetti Lettera 32 typewriter and some have keys for number 1 whereas some dont..

apparently (I don't own one) but if you press lowercase l it will be one with other stuff sorry if this isn't what your looking for

Many older typewriters don't have a number 1, you just simply use a lowercase 'L'

Why didn't you used a Red and Black ribbon? I have a lettera 32, but with the Italian QZERTY keyboard. I can't figure out what the top-left key, with nothing printed on, is for. Do you have any clue about that?

It's to release the margin so when you reach the "end" you can hold that to bypass the margin

hello how can you erase the mistaken word on the typewriter

Some machines use correcting tape which is like white-out on a strip-I think you just backspace, go over the word again with the correcting tape, then backspace again to the beginning of the word and write over the tape. Otherwise no idea haha

No I think the 22s were actually quite a bit bigger You can see the emblem says it’s a 32 on the front
