Cowboys trying to follow up a great season in 66 with a better one in 67.
Dan Reeves passed away recently. His 78th birthday would have been later this week. He had 603 rushing yards 5 TDs, 490 yards, 6 TDs receiving, 2 passing TDs. Also a TD pass in the NFL Championship game.

Wow, about half the players and coaches on this team are now passed away. It's crazy looking back now considering it's been just over 50 years.

This was the first year of divisions and staged playoffs and it was a disaster. The 11-1-2 Colts did not even make the postseason, while the 11-1-2 Rams were forced by fiat to travel to Milwaukee to play the 9-4-1 Packers. I keep hoping football will do things as they do in hockey and just take off the cream of the conference. But, that will likely never happen. There is some consolation that the Ice Bowl came out of the injustice. But the week 14 game between the Colts and Rams was in effect itself a playoff game. The Rams destroyed the Colts and everyone assumed they would do the same to the Packers. Nope.

In 1967 and 1969 it was pre determined the Central Division Champion would have the Conference Championship game 1968 Coastal Division Champion had it in Western Conference

Because of the 24 -24 tie they played earlier in the season total points between the 2 teams decided the Coastal division winner
