The right trans. 96& newer has electronic controlled governor and requires computer.

Yes the same, actually the conversion flex plates sold look the same as the originals.

2200-2500 stall

@@RabidTransitGarage is it fartory or aftermarket? I'm asking because there is a factory Code 642 that stalls to about 2400-2600rpm that came in something that I want for my conversion. I've had both factory and aftermarket and the factory ones seem to be smoother in normal driving which is what I'll be doing. If I can find a core out of whatever had those I can just get it rebuilt. The one I have is 862 and I think it is a mid stall meaning 1800-2200. Thanks, neat car.

This is a factory converter. When the conversion was done, there wasn't any aftermarket support available. The higher stall I believe is in 2500 and 3500 trucks/vans.
