I know I know another oil change video lol . I did this to show rhetts first experience changing oil on his 140. I helped him a little throughout the process and explain why I do what I do when I change the oil in these tractors and a little explanation along the way.

Nice job on the oil change. Nice you're teaching Rhett so early. That's about the age I started to do oil changes. I agree to never use crescent wrenches on those drain plugs. They are always 1 1/8" no matter what the tractor, if they have the right plug. Shell Rotella T has always been a quality product. We would still be using it if Shell wasn't so bad to deal with here. You can use 30 year round in NC. We use 15W40 here due to our more variable climate.

It's Glyptal. I got it from Eastwood. What you're doing, he will always remember it. Rhett is already miles ahead of the other kids.

I didn't know the the oil fill location changed on these. On my 100 and Super C oil is filled from the top through the crankcase breather cap.

Can you do a video on how to properly change the transmission fluid and side pto belt pulley fluid on a 140 and how properly fill them since the manual isn’t clear because it says 4 qts ir 5 qts with a side pulley and I’m confused as to how you would get the extra qt in it by using the check plug on the side thanks for all your knowledge in your videos

In one of the videos I change the transmission fluid in this tractor. It should be 2 or 4 behind this one.

Someone springs for the expensive quarts! I just buy it all in jugs and pour from the either 4-- quart jugs depending on the type and brand of oil. Much cheaper that way usually.

@@farmall51 yea I just used up a 2.5 gallon just of travler 15w40 sometimes last year. Ordered a case of gallons this last time cause it was the best price per quart that way.

You don't need to keep wiping that dipstick? Just put it in and add the oil. The oil will just come up on the dip stick when you pull it out that's the level . Unless you have started it there isn't a reason to keep wiping. But I know everyone has their methods for things.
