That car, the look, the sound - I'm so glad and proud to have been a 60's baby. They got so many things right back then when it came to vehicles, especially cars. Built for the sheer pleasure of aesthetic orgasmic beauty combined with unadulterated raw power.
@Squisky10 ай бұрын
"Unadulterared raw power" hah! My brother. Camrys and Golfs generate more power than the muscle cars of old. If I had money like you boomers; I'd take the shell off the 60s cars and gut everything inside and put is modern components. Chevy sells bad ass crate engines that are capable of handling 600 plus hp. You start there and add to it. I like old school design. I like old school European design even more. But that shit cost money.
@danfratzke539410 ай бұрын
Replying to @Squisky...Wow. You really made some kind of point there, didn't you. Camrys and Golfs you say. Interesting. Take a look at that machine. It's as much a piece of fine art as it is an automobile. A number of highly skilled and passionate men poured hours and hours into this car to make it into something remarkably beautiful. Every single aspect of it, every nook and cranny. The power plant is no doubt exquisite in every detail. Not just relating to performance, but also aesthetic. And you are talking about Camrys and Golfs. Sure, you can dump a bunch of money into a car like you're describing. Make it fast. Make it loud. Maybe even a little impressive. Will that car ever evoke a tiny fraction of the emotion that this masterpiece will. Will people be turning there heads to watch your freakshow of a Toyota Camry go by. The answer is no. You thought you'd throw in that bit at the end there about your admiration for European cars and convince us of how sophisticated you are. A testament to your mature taste in a far superior pedigree of automobilia. You are a clown sir. I'm embarrassed for you.

Imagine a guy making noise with his regular "sport car" in the red light, thinking how fast he is, and then this thing stops next to him
@KeksimusMaximus3 жыл бұрын
Well, to be fair a generic modern sport car would be more efficent and faster that this one. But, well, this one looks and sounds better anyway
@Amadeus_Eisenberg3 жыл бұрын
@@KeksimusMaximus Probably not as reliable or durable, though.
@eugene98523 жыл бұрын
@@Amadeus_Eisenberg Not even sure about this. Modern cars are typically much more reliable than they were back in the 60's. The difference though is that an regular person with a bit of know-how could fix their car themselves.
@cgraham63 жыл бұрын
@@KeksimusMaximus Faster? Uh, no. Perhaps in the twisties, but with 700 hp and the ability to put almost all of it to the ground, you'd have to have something very high-end to outrun this machine in a straight line.
@KeksimusMaximus3 жыл бұрын
@@cgraham6 it's not only about hp 🙄 By that logic trucks are like the fastest cars in the world
