I was born in 1967 and this has always been my ultimate dream car!! I’d take this over any Ferrari or Lamborghini… ABSALUTLEY the most beautiful machine ever created. Carol Shelby was amazing when inventing the GT-500… told my wife “one day I’m getting one” she said Have fun!! I’m not getting in it with you. 🤣🤣

Mustangs are the only sports cars that are universal to all environments. Its as at home in a trailer park as it is on display at Pebble Beach . It can obviously hang true with other muscle cars, but also would be equally at home and be respected among supercars and exotic crowds. It can be a 20 thousand dollar rental, and yet that same car can be trimmed to put a Porsche GT3 RS's to shame. no other car is that diverse. Its all about humble roots and yet it can be bitterly expensive. People have bashed it, and at times for good reasons, and yet those same people had to hold their tongues as it made short work of their favorite sports cars. Its a love hate relationship, and yet when all is said and done, its a car you'd come to love and own and regret ever parting ways.

My old boss bought the original from the movie set/studio’s of gone in 60 seconds, back around 2007/8 I think it was, paying over $400,000 for it. I remember him being a mad as when we went to pull it out of the container and on inspecting it, the nitrous kit in the boot was missing. On the paperwork, Nickolas Cage’s name was on, and I think it was as one of the previous owner’s as he was a bit of a petrol head. The car looked stunning and sounded great as it was driven around the yard. He had many cars that were owned by famous people, including George Harrison’s ( Beatles ) original bottle green DB4, but the collection was sold off after his death in a silly accident. RIP Jimbo.

The engine has this weird high pitch crackling sound when accelarating. Like a Japanese import car. The one in the movie sounded deeper. Just search for "roush" eleanor, you will hear what I mean. Car looks amazing though, can't deny that.

A true fan of gone in 60 knows that isn't even the correct body style for the original Eleanor. She was a mustard gold 73 mustang fastback. The pursuit was 45 min (half the movie).
