Great tractor brings great memories back. Was the first tractor I drove disking and pulling a field cultivator at 12yrs old. Dad used to convert the wide front end to narrow, throw the big tires on the back, whoop up a few things in the motor and go tractor pulling all summer long on weekends while we irrigated crops! Favorite tractor from all we farmed with. Note: be sure to take all precautions when working with those old asbestos brakes; don’t inhale that stuff, brother. Great videos around the restoring of your grandfathers tractor! Can’t wait to see the finished project!

It's nice to see a young man tackle a tractor restoration As some one experience on DB pumps I suggest you clean the pump better before disassemble the pump.

What a beaut. A very popular model in its day. I often wonder why many operators so neglect their equipment. It will make you money and serve you well with some mtce. Congrats for going into that F.I Pump. Highly specialized. I hope you take it to a shop to have it Tested on the stand along with the F. I. Injectors. Years ago when they took out the fuel additive it ruined many a rotary pump. Oh well . Enjoy I am, and will follow your you tube. From the old Capt'n with 30 years with Industrial and Marine and diesel electric gen sets. Stay well

I would clean the outside of the injection pump before disassembling.

You might want to start thinking about taking the fuel system and disassembling that the way the tractor starts now sounds like it needs a new fuel system to make it easier to start

It's definitely on my agenda! After nearly 7,000 hours a lot of components need some elbow-grease to get them operating properly! Thank you for watching and for the advice!

Diving right in is sometimes the best way to learn quickly! I just hope I can do this machine (and many others like it) justice by getting them running as good as new! Thank you for watching my friend!

I have an Audels automobile manual 1938. Explains admission , compression, power or impulse and exhaust stroke. The author writes admission stroke; this first stroke of the cycle, variously called charging stroke, suction stroke etc. is properly called the admission stroke, because it is during the stroke that the fuel charge is admitted to the cylinder. Thought you may get a kick out of this old terminology. I learned them as intake exhaust. We seem to pair words together you would think of breathing as intake and exhale food for thought. Looking forward to see the cylinder head off😁

Very interesting! I think that nomenclature might be lost to time soon but I'll be sure to watch for that when I crack into some of the old shop manuals my grandfather left to me! Thank you for watching!
