My son came home from the hospital as a newborn in the same car but ‘68. Not many kids his age (26) can say that. Mine was black. Love love loved that car. Especially the 390. 😎💪🏻

I miss my 68 XR7 390 GT Cougar so much, a luxurious powerhouse with 325 hp back in the day as a 19 year old kid. The 68 had the added reflectors which made the sleek sides look more classy. The 390 cubic inches could roar and purr gently. The style steel wheels and white raised Goodyear tires lettering were spiffy cruising pass onlookers. Those were the days my friend.

This is my favorite body style of Cougar! Can't believe its an automatic transmission, runs like a manual! My 1st car was a '72 Cougar, with a 351C. Wish it was this one, that was almost 40 years ago. Great price too!

Friend of mine had a 70 1/2 Cougar, with the 351W in it, all hopped up. Had 5:14 gears in the rear end for the strip, but he backed it off to 4:88's, so he could drive it on the street.

Lol....when you get home, you can both tell your wives you were out playing with a Cougar today! lololol (The jokes write themselves at this point!) Takes off fast? That's characteristic of ANY cat, and goes double for Cougars! You guys mentioned some miscellaneous dings....in my mind, that makes the car better. If it was perfect---Barrett-Jackson perfect---I'd be afraid to drive it anywhere. It would never leave the garage. But with a few dings? Hell yeah, I'm driving it!

This one is definitely a great driver! Like I said in the video, I would take that thing anywhere. Especially with the sniper fuel injection you never have to worry about carb tuning. It's a very well-tempered car!

Love the early Cougars....is the 14k miles real or has the odometer tripped??? Wish they had left the motor closer to original. Love it but have to pass. Visiting your site tonight.
