A very rare car. Only thing, if it were mine, I would have returned it to factory stock

pontiac wanted mid-sized muscle for their showrooms but they had no pontiac motor plant in canada but there was a chevy motor plant so gm canada did a chevy II/pontiac hybrid thus the acadian. then it became the acadian beaumont, then the beaumont on chevelle platform. there were mercury trucks made in canada by ford canada too.

Well, you got it partially right. Its an Arcadian, Canso SD.. Like a Chevrolet, Nova SS. Sold at your Arcadian Pontiac Buick dealerships.

Well, you got it partially right. There is no "R" in Acadian.

@@V8TV Touche, It came up and I accepted it. There does seem to be a lot of mixed info on these cars. Most I have seen have an emblem on the hood or grill with an A and Acadian, (Beaumont and Canso), similar to the Pontiac arrowhead and Chevy bowtie. And a search here will bring up old commercials calling out Acadian, available at your Acadian Pontiac Buick dealers.

@@edmundanderson657 All in good fun! Thanks for recognizing the clouded story around these cars. The brand, and their subtle nuances make them fascinating cars. We appreciate your feedback and thank you for sharing!

The theme of this car must have been "what would the Ring Brothers do?". Nice, but defiantly not original, all Ring Brothers style especially the graphics.

+darrenhusband Funny thing: The guy called in to consult on some design elements on this car did design work for some Ring Brothers projects in the past, so it kinda makes sense that a style might emerge elsewhere. Sometimes it pays to know what you're talking about before making a snarky comment.
