Mechanical
Ours has the powerful 400 cubic inch V8 engine in it with a 4-bbl carb with GM's Turbo Hydra-Matic TH400 automatic transmission underneath. The engine was rated at 325 horsepower and with the 10-bolt rear end and automatic transmission it is a smooth shifting car that is a blast to cruise down the road.
The engine compartment looks factory stock with just routine maintenance done to it. It still retains the factory air cleaner, Pontiac blue painted engine block, valve covers and intake, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds, air conditioning, power steering and brakes, and all the other running gear.
Interior
Our Bonneville has a two-tone black/red split bench seat interior and pull-down center console, with its matching rear bench seat and door panels, black carpet, chrome trim, and the great, as usual, Pontiac padded dash with its full array of factory gauges, clock, pushbutton radio, and woodgrain trim, along with the factory Pontiac steering wheel.
The car is loaded with options as verified by the Trim Tag on the car. They include E - tinted glass, X - power windows, Y - padded dash, Z - 3 speed(M40) auto trans, T - rear power antenna, F - outside remote mirror, Y - custom seat belts, as well as Power Steering and Power Brakes, Factory Air Conditioning , Power Seats, and a Radio.
Exterior
All GM B body cars of this time were restyled and given a lot of character. Swooping roof lines, rakish fender lines and the Coke Bottle profile contributed to making this Bonneville one of the most popular body styles ever produced.
Ours is painted in deep black and contrasted by the dark maroon/red power convertible top and chrome front and rear bumpers and looks sporty with the 5-spoke polished mag wheels and black sidewall tires and emits great exhaust sounds thru its dual exhaust too.
Conclusion
This 1967 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible we have here at Skyway Classics has a lot of originality with classic looks and performance and a killer combo of black and red to gain the attention anywhere you cruise to.
