This is the exact duplicate of my first car color and all ,except for the gauges, back in 1971. Even took my drivers test in it and parallel parking wasn't an easy task. A lot of old memories were made in that ride and for as big and heavy as it was it could still smoke those tires. Sure would like to get my hands on it if he would ever decide to part with it.

My dad had this car in a hardtop coupe, but it had a 428 high compression engine. Crazy torque. Very difficult NOT to spin the tires, and I'm completely serious. It took me a while before I could drive it right, because unless you had a feather for a right foot, you would spin those tires (or that tire, in this case). Great car.

I remember reading in the 67 Pontiac brochure Lou that the Executives and Bonnevilles rode on a 124" wheelbase and was 222.6" long. The Catalinas , the wagons and the Grand Prix rode on a 121" wheelbase and was 215.6" long. The wagons were 217.8" long. Quite a variety of measurements for one full sized line.

Nice model year for full-size Pontiacs. A bit concerned about the upgraded sound system though. I’ve seen beautifully restored classic cars “butchered” by having holes cut into door panels and rear decks to facilitate the installation of “stereo speakers.” I hope that wasn’t done to this car. I strongly feel that classic cars should be restored as close as possible to factory specifications, even if it means maintaining a mono radio!

Even in 1967 an air conditioned Bonneville convertible was not that unusual. This one most likely had a bottom line MSRP of about $5600 with much additional room to go higher when equipped with more options.

Beautiful car. The body looks very much like a 1967 Pontiac Executive that I bought in 72 with only forty some thousand miles on it. I sure do wish I still had that car. =( There must not have been very many of them made because I rarely see a video about one and if you do a Google image search you don't find a lot of them either. You can find tons of videos and photos of the Bonneville's and Catalina's but not the Executive's.

The Executives (formerly Starchiefs) shared the Bonnevilles 124" wheelbase and 222.9" overall length. It was price competitive with Dodge Monacos, Chrysler Newports and Mercury Montclairs of the same vintage.

Without having 'the govn'mt' breathing down your necks with safety regulations, designers were free to do and draw and create anything their hearts desired......which was fantastic..!!!! The mid-60's designs WERE the designers RESULTS which were AMAZING !!!

The lights mounted on the bilateral front fenders were cornering lamps. They were offered as options starting in 62 or 63 on medium priced and luxury cars. They preceded the fender markers started in 68. The also continued to be offered with the fender markers. The would light up on the right side when the turn signal was activated during a turn and on the left side when the left turn signal was used. They were always white...never Amber colored.

Beautiful 67 Poncho . Those late 60 Ponchos and GM cars in general then were great and the Poncho BOP B bodies were stout cars. I had 1966 and 1968 Pontiac Grand PRIX . The 389- 421 and 400 -428 CID motors were no slouches either they could get down the road pretty well even in the big B body Ponchos , the big Cats ,Ventura , Bonnies and GP , Pontiac had them cammed and tuned and the cars styled real well . The 68 GP was a bit of an ugly duckling as compared to the earlier Pontiac GP and the big cats and bonnies but the inside was real nice still before everything went cheaper and 70's inside and outside in the B bodies although my 75 Monte Carlo was just OK and slow by comparison it wasn't a Poncho and it was a flexi flier with a lot of cowl shake . I always liked the 61- 68 big B body Ponchos . I also had a 64 326 2 dr manual shift 3 on the floor Lemans RWD A body .
