When you're trying to land a pin or something like the hood latch where you can't see to mark it, you can put a dab of grease on the end and it will mark it for you when it sits down. Then you can punch through the grease to mark center reasonably accurately, even though you can't see it. Loving this project.

I was thinkin that vent was some sort of Oklahoma shaped dash display. Yep, we used to have to wear coveralls with a company patch, and I believe I set the land speed record of dropping trousers when I was building a horse panel on a jig at work. I had a piece of grinder slag jump down the neck of my coveralls that burnt me from neck to knee as it fell through. My co-worker says I had more moves than Michael Jackson that day! At least I didn't go commando underneath those coveralls as some guys up there did. We looked like a bunch of prison camp workers wearing those. After that, I demanded the option of wearing company Dickies slacks and long sleeve shirts. It was less than a month later they got rid of the jumpsuits. Liking this Stout build the more I see you get into it in detail. Let's Go, Puddin!
