This is great. There is always something to keep the project moving forward. I would have ordered the grommet last week and closed the garage door. ha!

Man Sam! This reminds me so much of the countless hours spent in my garage in the evenings after work every night working on the 68....installing all those parts from "Pacific" J-bugs...and with a lot of tips from you and Gary. Nice job my friend...its coming along nicely.

Is the access panel mod something you're going to offer on the site at some point? I think I heard you say Aircooled sold them, but they're now defunct.

That's AirKewld, not Aircooled, but yes, we already do - www.jbugs.com/airkewld-type-1-3-chassis-inspection-plate-kit.html

I didn't think the door pins was suppose to come out through the bottom that they were suppose to come out through the top

In earlier cars with a mushroomed top, the pin has to come out the top, yes. Fortunately the later cars don’t have the mushroomed top so they can be driven out the bottom which is much easier. On early cars I’ve only ever been able to get the pins out by heating up the hinge which destroys the paint.
