Very clean looking Bug. Love how factory original it looks. I have plans on re-doing a bug one day once I find the right candidate.

I actually came to your page to watch the Scion xB vids (xB is my favorite vehicle ever!) But must comment on your bug. Very well done, I grew up with a Father and older brother who both drove these classics. You did a great job sir

edwin pruett thanks man! Yeah the xB is my brothers now. I got it from him in 2012 and drove it/modded it for a while before selling it back to him. He had always dreamed of boosting it and all that crazy stuff, so that’s what he did. As a matter of fact it will actually be tomorrow or early next week that the ol’ xB will be on the dyno for its final tune. He’s gone crazy on it, fully built motor, stage 3 cams, precision turbo, ems 4... all of it. Check it out, his Instagram is @chase_prollock

@@alexprollock Hi!🙂 I would like to ask what is the color code of this color and what brand of paint did you use?

A little late to the video/channel but really appreciate the work and effort on the 67. That year plus Java Green are one of my favorite combinations. Outstanding! I’m curious if you lowered the car but are still using stock 165s all the way around? Thanks and looking forward to more content.

Sorry I’m just seeing this comment! Yeah man it’s 165s all the way around with just 2.5 spindles in the front. Never had any issues with rubbing.

@@alexprollock Thanks! Much appreciated.

How did you lower stance on it ? If drop spindle in front please explain all you had to do. Got my first bug and is same color as yours but a 69 . Just want to lower front a little . Thanks
@alexprollock3 ай бұрын
So yeah it’s just drop spindles. Since mine is a ‘67, I had to change my inner wheel bearings and outer tie rod ends. Being that yours is a ‘69 you may not need to. It does kick the wheels out about a quarter inch on each side, so some people have issues with tires rubbing with 165 tires, but I’ve never had that issue.

OK thanks so much

Also seems to me someone should make 1.5" drop spindles for just this reason
