It's funny, whenever you find a comment you don't like, you automatically pin them so your subscribers can jump all over them. Seems childish to me. I've watched every video you've put out and have bought multiple things from you. And I've seen you sic you're little wanna be die hard fans on multiple people who voiced their opinion or gave criticism. Pin this one too, I really don't care. You were much more enjoyable to watch when you didn't talk for 80% of your videos. I'd be curious to see the analytic % of how many people watched the entire 2.5 hours.

Hey, I realize that this is 2 months late, but I only just watched your video (which I thoroughly enjoyed, BTW, as I own a very original '68 C20 myself). I picked up on something that was the source of the braking issues on the C20. The part that was on the truck at the beginning was not a proportioning valve, as you identified it, but in fact a distribution block. This block was used on all-drum brake GM vehicles and it has only two functions: to send brake fluid to the correct end of the vehicle and to activate a switch to illuminate the brake warning light in the dash when it senses a loss in pressure from either the front or rear brakes. That's it. By removing this block, all you have accomplished is to lose the function of the brake warning light. The part you removed from your square-body parts truck is a proportioning valve (sometimes called a combination valve, because it has three functions). The proportioning valve acts a distribution valve; it acts to proportion higher brake pressure to the front disc brakes; and, it delays application of pressure to the front discs until the rear drum shoes take up the distance from their relaxed to applied position. Perhaps I missed it, but I did not see you install that proportioning valve after you removed the old distribution block. This would explain the less-than-ideal brake effectiveness of that truck. Hope this helps. Keep up the great videos!

I was thinking bad brake booster as well. To test them I shut the engine off and pump the brakes to deplete any vacuum. With your foot on the brake moderately hard, start the engine. If the pedal goes down a little, the booster is good, If the pedal stays the same, the booster isn't boosting. It is nice to see things green in your country.
