460s are awesome engines. They take stroker kits well. You can get 557 cubic inches with a stock block, 4.50 inch stroke and + .080 overbore. No mods needed to the block other than boring. You'll probably want to do a sonic check at .080 though. I built a 532 stroker for my '74 Cougar. Almost done with it. Love your vids, Mortske, especially the long ones.

A fire blanket is really handy buddy plus the old bucket of sand can help too. The problem with car fires is fire usually has air below and fires eat air so if you can get the blanket over the top of the engine you can attack it from below. In your situation, I would have an old cotton bedspread over next to the trough you have for checking tyre punctures so you can soak the bedspread and smother out the full engine bay. It's a cheap fix bud but it works a treat. All the best from Scotland

I do believe the fuel return line is to help with vapor lock, it helps keep the fuel cooler on those hot summer days. Old school hot rodders kept the fuel cool with cool cans. Also the old ford vans in the sixties had problems with vapor lock because the metal engine covers next to the driver would get so hot as to burn my thigh while driving them back in the sixties and seventies for work.

Fire blankets are super cheap and will extinguish 95% of fires you'll run into, throw some in the cars and have a few tossing around the shop as well. A welding blanket will do the same job in a pinch. I just bought a set of extinguishers for the house and garage after a welding incident that could've gone real bad, definitely a wise investment. The biggest difference between R12 and R134 is the pressure. An R12 system will work with R134 but youll have to use a tinny bit less freon. R134 will run at a higher pressure just by nature. So at idle, R134 in a R12 system wont work as good. Going down the road it will work fine. If charged completely, R134 will blow up seals and lines and or not cool very well. As far as the recycle machine goes, it will work fine. Just use PAG oil. Will work fine. Ask me how I know 😂
