1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Drive Video 8/28/22. I know !!! No shoes !!! LOL !!! I wear slides in the morning after my workouts, and its all but impossible to drive a manual transmission wearing the slides.

When I came home from Vietnam in 1970 I bought a 1968 Chevelle SS396 4 speed, Tripoli Turquoise. It was a beautiful car and the turquoise in different lighting conditions would sometimes look more green and other times look more blue.

When idling at red lights put it in neutral and take your foot of the clutch pedal. Your T/O Bearing and clutch will last longer.

More importantly, it saves the thrust bearing on the crank.

You don’t sit in idle with your foot on the clutch, you’re wearing out the throw out bearing

I've often driven with flip flops while at the seaside, but driving with bare feet is something I never saw anyone doing lol
@wannacrankАй бұрын
Both options are great, I love driving either barefoot or in flip flops

My 68 is not a true SS. Mine is a Factory Bucket Seat Floor Shift Car. I also have headrests. Those were optional since 1966. When I first got it, a couple guys tried to tell me they were the wrong seats. Later I got covers for them. They are 1968 Bucket seats with headrests.

Mine is a nice restomod with 454 HO, Tremec TKX 5 Speed, Vintage Air, Holley Sniper. I also put Dakota Digital Guages in mine. I wouldn't do any of that to your original, numbers matching car. I have 438 HP and 500 ft lbs and I may put on a 125 shot of Nitrous. Undecided. Numbers Matching Original is nice but so is getting a clean slate to do what you want.

Matching numbers????? "Power is from a replacement 396ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in light blue over black upholstery." From "Bring a Trailer"

The Old Cars are cool and I’ve had many but with the astronomical asking prices I just can’t see buying one. Once you start getting over $25,000 you can buy a new performance American muscle car that will do literally everything better than these old cars and they will do it in comfort.

If your buying a muscle car for comfort just go get yourself a minivan

I had a 67 Chevelle Malibu many years ago and I loved it, miss it dearly!!…. But I HATED that it did’nt have A/C!…. I was stationed in New Jersey in the Air Force in the 90’s when I had it and the humidity there is HORRIBLE!!!…. lol…

Of course it is when your feet are so big and can get stuck between the gas and break pedal and cause an accident.

@gordocarbo you're an idiot. It's unnecessary wear and tear, fuel consumption and try having a conversation with a passenger. An engines camshaft doesn't have anything to do with cruising rpm
