I don't know what Jay has been doing lately, but he is coming up with incredible rare super cars, he must be trying to compete with Mecum or the other big auction house, this 427 coupe is numbers matching and rarest of the rare, the last 5 cars have been shining examples of why muscle cars were so popular and sought after, you've done it again thanks Mr Grams.

Have gotten used to you starting any car and backing it out. Would have liked to hear how it sounds. Like you said, its better than new, I agreed. So clean and perfect.

Oh Jay this is has to be my favorite '60s era car that I've ever seen you sell, so rare and so awesome! My friend back in the late seventies had this car but in a convertible fully loaded but not a four-speed in Chevy red. This color combination is perfect, I wish I had the money I'd pay whatever you wanted for it cuz it is so cool! Dang

Wow! Car presentation is superb. With regal aplomb the automobile subtly shows styling and tasteful accoutrements.

My ex-father-in-law owned one of these, but black vinyl top with black interior. I would see this car around town when I was a little kid (before I married his daughter). In my late teens/early 20s I located the car in a field outside of town. The motor had been put in a boat. I'm sure the car itself has returned to the Earth now, some 40 years later. I regret not saving it when I could have. RIP Dean.

In Canada, the Impala SS was also called a Pontiac Parisienne 2+2, basicly a rebadged Impala, not sold in U.S.

This is the second video I waited to hear and see you back it out and pull it around to the yard . Why aren't you letting us hear it run and pull it out and the end of the video like you used to do?? That was always a nice touch .

It was only this and the Fairlane recently where the audio got completely blown out, the audio levels got set too high, so we left it out.

This is the first time I've ever seen a *1968 Impala SS* with a *Formal Roof* [mostly used for Caprice] and not a *fastback.* I've never heard of nor ever seen an *Impala SS* for *1965-1968* in anything but a *fastback.* I realize that the only reason this is a *SS* is because it was ordered with a *427 cu. in.* engine.

I learned to drive in my dad’s 68 Impala. It was a 4 door with a 327ci engine. Unfortunately I put a dent in the rear passenger door cutting it too close to a telephone pole why I was learning how to drive. We only had it a short while when I dented it. I felt terrible. I was 13 or 14 years old.

The super sport Impala must have come in two different roof styles, this one (formal roof) and the fastback. Jay said this coupe style, or formal, is more rare...but please, the fàstback is killer ànd that would be the one I would seek out. Still, this one is cool.

Nice car, but would have liked to see it running.

This and the other vehicle you noticed without a running portion was because of a camera mishap. It was only two cars on this day that got messed up.

@@stevedingman3753 Interesting. Then I would stick with a 327 cu. in. with auto. to get the a/c. My cousin had an SS in dark blue like that.

Man that is a real looker. IIRC this is not an Impala…no Impala badging anywhere…so is different than an Impala SS. although I think the body style number is for an Imp SS. A Chevy expert would know
