I love the way this scoop looks on the car. I want to clear something up for the people wondering why I cut my hood. This is not the original hood. The whole front cap has been replaced before my dad got the car in 1981. Also the hood has rust damage underneath and a lot of the glue spots that secure the outer skin to the inner structure are broken loose. When I was first working on the car rust was falling out of inside the hood for a long time so this hood was rusting from the inside out. I would have to get another good anyway when I do the body work so why not have fun with it. Check me out on Facebook at @charger383mopar and charger383mopar@yahoo.com and don't forget to like subscribe and click the bell to stay up to date with my latest videos.

I’m just thinking about the carb air to fuel ratio, would a carb scoop make it run more rich , such as mine, I recently installed a carb scoop and it runs a little richer and has a small stumble and if so what could I do to fix it.

@Charger383Mopar

If you want it higher up you would simply need a carburetor spacer or a high rise intake manifold. It just depends on what you want to do. High rise intake manifolds are available for most older engines.
