1968 Mustangs just have that look! Especially the fastbacks! I'm surprised Lee Iacocca was never on board with changing the Mustang with the times to keep it competitive. He called the 67 - 68 "a fat pig". Wth?!!!

This is the Mustang I'm looking for actually. A 302 engine, with a automatic transmission, and it's a Fastback body. That's my type of Mustang. But what websites I can search for the 302 engine, and the Automatic Transmission??

Can't help but think of Bullitt everytime I see this style of Mustang. Bullitt 68 / 390.

Yes it's a nice car however there's nothing like feeling the power of a 68 GT with a 390 mated with a C6. 13.92 in the 1/4 stock with F70-14 tires. This was my car in highschool in 1977 and sold it in 1980. should have never sold it.😕

I think the car in Bullitt was a 390 4 speed 68 GT. 67-68 is my favorite body style of them all. My all time favorite Stang is probably either the 69-70 BOSS 429 or the 67-68 Shelby GT500KR

Love the videos; love Mustangs. Ford did a good job of morphing the '67 into the '68 and then into the '69 (my favorite) and the '70. Never really liked the '71-'73s as much. Also, Kevin said this car was built on June 16th, 1968 at one point, and on July 16th at another point (although it doesn't really matter which is correct). He also repeated twice that all of the car's owners were well documented; it almost seemed like he was struggling for things to say about the car, so he repeated those facts. All in all, he does a great job, and really seems to have a passion for these cars, which makes it much more enjoyable.

This car reminds me a lot of the 1968 Mustang 390 GT 4-speed used in the movie "Bullitt", which happens to be one of my favorite movies. I watch the Bullitt movie car chase on KZbin all the time. When my Dad was 16, he owned a 1966 Ford Fairlane 390 GTA hardtop. I was a late 80's child, but I will always have a love for the muscle cars and hot rods of yesteryear.

Had a green one with similar trim with a black interior. My first car. Sold it and bought a 71 Z28 and then moved to a 68 427 corvette. Total investment of 8,400 dollars starting in 1974 and finished in 1978. All were nice cars with low miles. Maybe should have kept them...but I especially miss the Mustang. First car nostalgia. I can still smell the pine air freshener that came in the cubby.

I've owned two big block Mustangs ('67 390GTA and '69 428CJ) but I agree about the more nimble handling of the 289/302/351 Windsor small block cars I've driven. They feel much more resonsive in cornering and braking. If I ever get a classic 'Stang again it will be a small block.
