Oh boy, all I want at this moment is a time machine to came back to 1969! I'm 23, but what I really wanted is lived in '69 to saw all this incredible movies, shows and sitcoms! I'm appreciated those things a lot!!

IF you get that time machine take me with you, I have coins from that era...money from this time period would be worse than useless...come to think of it that could be a tv show/pilot.

The great voice over is that of William Schallert from Patty Duke! He is 92 now. What a superior, diverse actor with a great voice . Shows that were given more than 3 months to bring in the numbers. So much great fun TV shows back then. Thanks William!

My, this takes me back. I was in first grade during this time. I wonder why the previews look old and scratchy, when time goes by so quickly and I don't feel that old. I'm 60. I particularly enjoyed the intro to movie of the week. Seeing the ABC logos going by and forming a virtual corridor...I feel so sentimental, seeing that and hearing the music. Then, even at age 6, I thought Bill Bixby was so hot.

1969-1970 season. The ABC Movie Of The Week was the big thing. Aaron Spelling, Danny Thomas, Sheldon Leonard, Self Productions, Lorimar, Bruce Lansbury, Douglas S. Cramer, Bing Crosby, and Self Productions. Spelling, Goldberg and Spelling, Thomas Productions, ABC Circle Films did a lot of those Movie Of The Week.

"THE MOVIE OF THE WEEK" also presented 90 minute "pilots" from time to time; some of them became series on ABC- others didn't {including "The Ballad of Andy Crocker" ("Corporal Crocker"), and the two "The Over the Hill Gang" movies [a follow-up aired in 1970]}.

The difference was, Rod Serling created "THE NEW PEOPLE" and wrote the pilot script. The show was supposed to examine the lives and relationships of the kids stranded on that South Pacific island. "LOST" was essentially a surrealistic fantasy.............
