I like how you operate. Clean and make functional. Preserve rather than restore. Keep on trucking Flathead.

That’s some intricate work there. I don’t see too many other videos on this type of work. Thanks for this very educational video!

Great video. Had the exact same issues with both gauges on my ‘69. Working perfectly now. Thanks for the help.

Terry, I pulled my clock, lubricated the gears, and applied power. Then something went terribly wrong. The clock started spinning very, very fast. Not sure if I bumped something in there, or if it was like this for a while. The power was unhooked when I got in there. I may pull it back out and check for an unhooked spring, now that I've seen your video. I then pulled the oil pressure gauge, lubed up the gears, and got it working perfectly. Then something went terribly wrong. The brass insert at the end of the oil feed tube broke apart during disassembly. Half is inside the tube, and half in the brass elbow. A 1/8" compression fitting from the parts store did not help. I'm ordering a new brass elbow and oil feed line kit on Monday from Eckler's. Oh well. chalk it up to experience. Thanks for the video. Paul

Thanks for the comments and feedback Paul. These gauges are tricky for sure. I had the same experience in finding the proper 1/8" compression fitting. They're not standard and had to get it from a Corvette supplier. Hopefully, everything is working for you now!

Cual es la forma de.colocar los cables de bujía y grados del rotor del distribuidos por favor
@FlatheadTerry11 ай бұрын
That is a good question. I use a Timing Light connected to the #1 Spark Plug wire and disconnect the Vacuum Advance hose on the distributor.
