1969 Ford Capri - PART 70 - 'donna' the donor

Hello Gents,
This is PART 2 of today's member update.
We are going to be organising a 'Will it start?' video for this old 1600cc Kent engine.
Not sure if the engine will start, as it obviously doesn't look great, but all the bits, spark, carburettor, etc are there.
Who knows? =)

Ah, takes me back! I had a 1969 Mk1 1600GT XLR, in Fern green metallic with a black bonnet, Rostyle wheels, stunning car. WTX 343H. Bought it in '74 and sold it in '78. it was a bargain really, I paid £500 for it and got £250 when I sold it! Those were the days eh?

Most of that chrome trim looks good and plenty of bits to part back out if you don’t need them. Very good investment I think 👍

It was a good investment Phil, helped a lot with building kate, and was lucky that the parts that were rotten on kate, were not rotten on this donnor car, and visa-versa.

I only had one Mk1 out of the six capris I had back in the early seventies, It was a V4 2 litre GT in Vista Orange with a black vinyl roof. All my others were 2000 Ghias with hatch backs. Still love them dearly..

Have you got some spare parts for sale? Or where can i buy it? I"m slowly looking for some missing parts for better vision 😅. Like a grill, dummy vents, Ford letters and Capri badge, rear left light and some more... ;) At this moment left my car in Poland but I"m living in UK. Greetings from Stoke Guys 😊
