Many memories of this one hit wonder. Did not know this went to #2. I am 10 years-old again when l hear this classic from spring of 1969.

I was 8 years old. I remember this song, Aquarius by the Fifth Dimension and the year 2525 by Sager and Evans.

... I, too lived under the tyranny of the 'older brother' in the same bedroom. Oh ....

When you're young and in love, this is how it is. It made me happy for 40 years, from 1977- 2017 . Now, as a widower, I'm still happy because of that one true love in my life. Yes, I was a lucky guy........

To have your only charted single stop at #2 under The Beatles w/Billy Preston! WOW! The group must've been freakin' out when it was on the chart that spring!

How is it some songs get right to your mind and soul?! For whatever reason, in my teens, this got right through....😊

I thought that the 5th dimension sang this song anyway, excellent memories. Anyway, I agree that love can make you happy.

Lyrics: Wake up in the morning with the sunshine in your eyes And the smell of flowers blooming fills the air Your mind is filled with the thoughts of a certain someone that you Love Your life is filled with joy when she is there Love can make you happy if you find someone who cares To give a life time to you and who has a love to share If you think you’ve found someone you’ll love forevermore Then it’s worth the price you’ll have to pay (pay) To have, to hold’s important when forever is the phrase That means the love you’ve found is going to stay Love can make you happy if you find someone who cares To give a life time to you and who has a love to share La-love, la-love Love can make you happy Love can make you happy Love can make you happy Love

I'd thought at one point, Billboard, Cash Box or Record World would've charted this simultaneously with another version recorded by the group (and produced by Steve Alaimo and Brad Shapiro) that was ish'd on Warner Bros.-Seven Arts 7291 (the mono 45 o' that hasn't turned up as yet, but the stereo can be heard on kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmSrkKZ9g66gfck ). Turned out I was mistaken, none of the magazines had the re-recording mentioned. However, WCBS-FM played the Warners' version whenever playing this song, hardly ever heard this Sundi version which I find much superior.

Originally released locally in November 1968 (pressed by RCA Custom, with an additional cat. # of 677P-0851; the matrix # for this side was WK4M-0851), which mentioned the label's location; Jamie/Guyden picked up distribution around March 1969. This was to be the only Sundi release they distributed.
