So great to see Steve back in action!! 1 day at a time Sir!! we're just glad you're here!! This said a friend had a real sleeper back in 1973 when I met him; He had a '68 SPORT Satellite with a 383 & 4speed. Loved that car!! My Cousin is drag racing a '78 Roadrunner nowadays, 360, and runs mid 11s....

The meme that shows a guy looking over his shoulder at another woman, while holding his girlfriend's hand - that's how I feel as a dyed in the wool Chevy guy when I see a Road Runner. Man I still want one - optioned like this. Thank you Mr Magnante and High Octane Classics ~ Chuck

Once again, another day closer to being 100% and you getting back in full swing. Yup, 1969 model year with the VIN for the win (from the HOC website): R for Belvedere/Satellite, M for Medium Price class, 23 for two door hardtop, H for 383 CID V8, high performance, 9 for 1969 model year, A for Lynch Road, Detroit, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Lynch Road plant last produced "R" body cars and closed in April 1981. We got (from the HOC website), the tag, we can brag: F3 for Frost Green or F8 for Ivy Green exterior paint (the tag is in poor condition), D21 for four speed manual transmission, V21 for performance hood treatment, possible E63 for 383 CID V8, among other codes. Not really correct. GM put trunk spatter paint inside of the trunk, and painted the underside of the lid.

Steve’s introduction hits home, when I worked at McDonald’s in 1971-1972 our manager had a 1970 SS454 Chevelle, our grill guy had a 1969 SCJ 428 Mach 1, our fry guy had a 1968 GT 500 Shelby, I had a 1966 K-code Mustang GT. These cars were our transportation and it was common to see Roadrunners, Boss 302s and even Hemi-powered Mopars in our parking lot. Little did we know how historic this era of American muscle would be.

Awesome. My dad had one of these, it was a 383 4-speed car with positraction. It was Turquoise with the black hood. He loved it, it was geared for speed (not sure on the ratio) rather than acceleration. It was the first new car he ever purchased, exactly the target demographic for this.

My father had a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner in 1970. He was the 2nd owner. It was a 383ci 335hp 2 door hard top auto on the column with a bench seat. From the only photo we have of it it looks like it was F8 green. No hood stripes, No vinyl top, No Air grabber. My father did install exhaust dumps or cutouts after he bought it for drag racing. He got rid of it in 1971 cause of the high insurance and gas. But mainly cause he wanted to marry my Mom. Don't the where abouts of the Runner now or even If it still exists. My father was told that the car might have been wrecked sometime in the mid to late 70's but it was never confirmed.

Mr. Mopar should point all the details that indicate this was an incomplete or a rushed restoration: Pitting on front inner fender wells/hood, numerous items under the hood are painted blue that shouldn't be, i.e. shocks, cambers bolts, inspections covers, etc., door jam hardware is painted blue, rattle can black paint in the trunk, fender tag is rotted, no pics of undercarriage (no resto on it), etc. Most likely, this car was heavily rotted and has had a lot of body work. How good is the quality? Most likely, you're looking at a huge money pit down the road.
