Gents - Thank you for the positive feedback! I’ve changed direction a bit in the last year or so, so I haven’t been active in keeping an eye on my KZbin channel - that’s why the late response.

wow awesome car what happens to the bumper after you start it? @ 5:54 you see movement of the panel behind the bumper.
@Tatra613Mi5 жыл бұрын
The movement in the panel behind the rear bumper is due to the air blast from the cooling fans on start-up. This sheet metal panel is a flapper that lifts to allow hot air from the engine cooling fans to exit the engine compartment. It’s operated by a thermostat and lifts when the engine compartment reaches a certain temperature. When the car is cold, it stays closed so the cooling air is recirculated for faster engine warm-up.

Damn, it is a Porsche, the ignition is on the left. I really love the look of the car. I wonder how it handles with the rear engine weight.

14:20 Rambler seats in a Czechoslovakian hot rod?
@Tatra613Mi5 жыл бұрын
The seats are Tatra’s originals made in the former Czechoslovakia. I didn’t know that they are very similar to those used by Rambler. Interesting point!

@@Tatra613Mi the answer to this is that rambler seats are rip offs same like american budweiser ;)

Sweet looking car. I've heard of Tatra, but I've never seen any. Not even when I visited Europe last year. It's a shame they were never sold in the USA. I can see it competing against the likes of the Corvair of the 60s.

Is it Russian from Czechoslovakia ?
@CuoreSportivo6 жыл бұрын
your question makes no sense.

Some people know exactly what i am talking about. I used to be asked that question at least once at every show that I took any of my 603s.
@davidviktora5 жыл бұрын
@@michaelbear2602 Nope, it's totally czechoslovak car, built by Tatra Kopřivnice in former Czechoslovak Socialistic Republic. Tatra had nothing to do with Russians, it used its own designs and technologyies, many of which dating back to pre-WWII Czechoslovakia and Hans Ledwinka.

So stupid!!! Russian car was every plagiarism. WW2 first they had only cap, no technic... Czech lands-industry food all backward Austria Hungary (already in 19. century). Tatra 77 was the most progressive car in the world.

WW2 Hitler used heavy industry from annexed Czechoslovakia, he could be out soon without our Industry, Munich Agreement was great stupidity of west countries...

It's a shame this was never offered here in the USA. I would think that Communist dictators and govt. officials visiting the USA would need or want something like this during their visit here.
