One thing that might help is to lap weld all these patches and only butt weld where you can't tap the seam down - edges of doors, posts, etc. Factories lap welded the roof to the quarter panel in a shallow valley and filled w/ lead for decades - called a sail panel seam. This is likely where body shops learned it from. Lap, tap and fill. It'll last a lot longer than butt welding - easier & faster too 😊

It's always upsetting when you do repairs and run across previous damage from an accident. You made the right call getting rid of all that filler on the corner. I think it turned out great Stephan! 😁👍

Hi Stephan🇨🇦, well there did you a complex corner restoration with use of different padge pieces, & in the wheelhouse🛠as you said you never will do that again is very understandble, it would be eayser chopping out the whole corner.but you get it done👍🏻. greetings,Hubertus🙏🏻🇳🇴🇳🇱☮🍀🇨🇦

Hey excellent work. Don’t beat yourself up. It came out better than it was before and that’s all that matters. In the future if you decide to you can replace the whole corner. If you ever find a German corner. I wouldn’t replace with aftermarket. Not worth it. Over all good work. Good practice and a step up. One tip is to grind away the entire work area so you can see what you’re working with before replacing any metal. Unless you are try😅my to save patina paint.

@@SanDiego_VDubLife Thanks man ! I'm not super happy that's for sure but it s all good for now. I can always redo it if I stumble upon a nice corner somewhere. This was a bit of a trial at least it's all metal and the bondo will be thinner.
