Once you got some good batteries in it, Whitney fired right up! Chad is a master at finding air leaks. So the rear clip is a replacement? That explains the Hendrickson rubber block suspension. Dollars to donuts, the original rear featured White's Velvet Ride suspension. Velvet Ride was very common on tandem axle White's back in the 1960's to early 70's. Ok, let's see... no lights, no tach, no speedo, no seat belts, bad brakes, bad tires... what could possibly go wrong? Lots of things, but they didn't! Looking forward to seeing some restoration work done on Whitney.

I think James is one of kind. Hard worker. I’ve had trucks since 1976. And still do. Done a lot of that works he is doing on one truck and two trailers. It is definitely dirty hard work. Most owner operators haven’t never changed there own tires. Brake jobs etc wheel seals. I would like to shake his hand. He is one of a kind. Just my opinion. Take care James and Jessica and helpers.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings.🇺🇸 Kudos to the Cabover King crew!😎 You came together…You resolved the issues…You got the job done…You looked out for each other…You got home safely! The Japanese cabover, Whitney, makes a big trip to her new home! It took guts, sweat & lots of teamwork to get her home. Now that’s some FELLOWSHIP! So you’ve know about this tuck for some time & have admired it? What about this cabover do you like the most? I surely don’t remember you saying that this was a positive ground truck. I know it came up, but that’s it. I’m very familiar with that…my old REO is positive ground & 6 volts. I thought that went out in the 1950s. WOW! Hey, I appreciate the passion that you have with old trucks & especially cabovers! You had a great crew! I can relate to the grinning & feeling of such satisfaction getting her home! Not sure how many miles you drove her, but it’s one way to test yourself & the others as well! WHEW! Now, I hope that you can sleep, in spite of the adrenaline flowing. I enjoyed this from A to Z! Blessings my brother! It’s so cool to have friends to help & a wife who understands! 🥰🥰✌️

I am hoping this is not the first in line for being back on the road... every where you turn is a adventure... Can't tell you where I would start but something every free minute ya have will get the finish line. They were a unique looking rig but really they all have their own best or worst feature. I just never cared for a coffin style sleeper as I do get a bit claustrophobic in those old mouse traps. I think driving it home was probably one of the best things you could do as it does help shake down some of the issues they all have
