Not a clone or a tribute car, this is a real deal 1969 Yenko 427 SC Nova built by Don Yenko. There were only 38 built, and this is one of only nine known to exist.

That's a BAD machine right there. Definitely my favorite of all the iron block L72 427 Yenko cars. The 69 427 Yenko Nova was quicker in the 1/4 mile than both the 427 Yenko Camaro and Chevelle. The L72 Nova was so bad ass that Chevy actually refused to install the L72 427 in it due to safety concerns..... even through their COPO program. Don Yenko had to pull the factory L78 396/375hp engine out and install the L72 427/450hp engine himself to make the Yenko Nova.....unlike the 427 Yenko Camaro and Chevelle...which were shipped to Yenko Chevrolet with the 427 already installed through the COPO program. DEFINITELY one of my favorite muscle cars ever made...and I'm a Mopar guy. The 69 427 Yenko Nova is probably my favorite Chevy ever made other than a 69 Camaro ZL1 or a 62-63 Impala SS Z11

Love me some Novas!!! I have owned a '69, '72 Ralleye, '73 4 door, and a '74 I used to street race with. Also owned a '74 Buick Apollo (Buick's version of the Nova). I am trying to haggle a friend down on his '74 to a reasonable price since the front end is completely disassembled. He wanted 4 grand and I told him 2500 was all I would want to put into it due to the cost of replacement parts to be able to even get it movable. What do y'all think ?

It must have been a clone or tribute car.

@@KDawgFilmz how would I know if it's a clone.

You would have to do a close-up examination of the car to tell if it is a clone. You'd have to check things like the engine, transmission, and other documentation.
