It looks like a pretty well done frame of restoration. Get a Bell blow proof bell housing,it's worth the money but fixing your is fine.

Thanks for posting this. Saved many people from falling into that same bellhousing problem. I'm thinking of doing a TKX in my 396 Nova. Like the stock mechanical clutch. Everyone online does the hydraulic. Pricey and complex. You looked to be driving with complete ease. Is the mechanical clutches are not fun to drive overblown? I want to stick with the z bar and fork.

How did the shifter fit in the console. Can you retain the stock rubber boot that bolts into the 4 speed hump? Asking because I'm looking at putting a tkx in my 70 chevelle

I actually have an s10 (same brake system) that I am working on now that I touch that process on here at the moment. We are waiting on some other parts for that ride but there should be something up soon.

The stamped Blow-proof bell would most likely clear with no issues. But I will still roll engines over to check clearance on any future job like this. Learn from the mistakes and win the battle.

Rich depending on how one looks at it or ones choice of a vehicle. It could be a Ford Pinto, Ford pickup the Triton the one that likes to spit the plugs out.Then there's the Chevrolet Monza the Chevy cavalier. Dodge gave us the aspirin and little D 150. V W gave the Thing , and the Gulf. And last but not least somebody decided to throw a monkey wrench in the mix the Yugo🤣 then the big-3 gave us an error of new muscle Ford Mustang with a 4-cylinder Chevy Camaro with a four-cylinder and the Dodge charger with a 4-cylinder. So looking at those.I would have to say God loves you.
