What a great find indeed....you just have to love the Pat Quinn interview. Especially how he spoke of how the Toronto fans seem to be sitting on their hands at times. The Gary Doak piece too. Who actually returned back to Boston later on in his career. Just a great piece, vintage footage. WOW....54 years ago....Look how the game has grown 50 fold in half a century.

Awesome video. I went to a hockey camp and Dunc Wilson was one of the coaches. I remember him as being a good coach especially with the younger players. When the Canuck’s played the Rangers at MSG, my dad took me and I went down to the boards during warmup and Dunc remembered me, took a few minutes to talk to me and gave me a puck. That was in 1971 and I still have the puck.

As a historian of "first year Canucks" (1970-71), this is extremely rare footage. This would have been filmed on or about Sept. 12, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta. I had only seen the first few seconds of the intro (skating drill). No complete games exist (to my knowledge) other than the kinescope Leafs at Canucks from Nov. 7, 1970, which is of rather poor quality.
