As a Baltimore Colts season ticket holder I was thrilled to be able to grow up with my team…..to witness and experience the great players that defined the NFL……we love our Ravens but will always honor the great Baltimore Colts……The great Raymond Berry, Jim Parker, Big Daddy Lipscomb, Lenny Moore, Art Donovan, Gino Marchetti, Don Shula, Don McCafferty etc, and of course the best there ever was, Johnny Unitas…..

Even though I don't reside in the Baltimore area, I still remember the Ravens first game in its inaugural 1996 season when in its pregame ceremonies it was Johnny Unitas who welcomed the team to Baltimore. I know he cut off ties with the Colts when they moved to Indianapolis.

The voice of the narrator, John Facenda, is classic and unforgettable. Miss the 'Good Ole Days' of NFL films. Thanks for posting.

This was the first football game I remember seeing on television (I was 5). I remember when number 80 kicked the winning field goal my dad jumped up so high and hit his head on the ceiling. I never saw him so happy before or since.

Gone but not forgotten. The Colts name, colors, logo, stats and history belongs in Baltimore. All those titles @ that time and era were won as The Baltimore Colts. Let Indy get there own history, stats, and alumni association as well as there own team hall of fame. Our Baltimore Colts Hall of Famers and Retired Jerseys there history and memories remain here in Baltimore. The good memories can never be taken away. The greatest times to be growing up in Baltimore and be a Colts fan the 1950’s - 1970’s until there departure in 1984. Watching the the greatest quarterback of all time and every one else.

Growing up in Baltimore in the 1970’s were great times to be a Colts fan. Super Bowl 5 was a great memory for a many Colts fans. The rest of the that 70’s decade of memories will always be remembered very well as the BALTIMORE COLTS. Indy get your own history of games and championships with your own players and leave ours alone back in BALTIMORE where it belongs.

At the age of 10 in 1970 I saw my first NFL game.. It was in the Houston Astrodome in 1970. The opponent was the Baltimore Colts. Colts won.

I didn't grow up near Baltimore but I became a huge Colts fan. SB III was a disaster and I was really happy to win one, although they didn't play well.

The Colts won the Super Bowl after that season while the Orioles won the World Series a few months earlier. The NBA Bullets basketball team, before they relocated to Washington DC, were 50-32 during the 1969-70 season. Even though the team went to the finals the next year, they fell into mediocrity in won loss record. All in all, 1970 was a good year in pro sports for Baltimore.

17:09 wasn’t the Colts coach the first rookie coach to ever win a Super Bowl? Because the Super Bowl was a defensive clinic, no one ever talks about that.

19:24 and I didn’t even realize that either. The Baltimore Colts was the first AFC champions. 1970s was the start of the AFC and NFC. The first season of the merger.

13:50 Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Joe, Montana, Patrick Mahomes don’t want any of that 1970’s Defense smoke. This is what football is. Unforgiving. Crippling. Destructive. Yes, I understand that the league wants safety for its players. Yes, I understand that we should take care of those who came before. But this game is not for everyone unlike what modern NFL is trying to do by taking tackling out of the sport. I don’t even think that the numbers that they purportedly have for ratings are really real.
