I saw Parnelli himself drive that car at Laguna Seca in 2000. He won the race, but only after he nerfed George Follmer out of the way.

Trans Am racing was my most favorite racing. Virtual door slammer cars that were very competitive. And so changing. All the car manufactures were involved making for the very best in racing and that is why vintage racing is still so popular. Ford has to be given the most credit as they came up with the pony car and then Ford was not afraid to develop ferocious engines

He would drive circles around me, but it's always interesting watching these. It looks like he wasn't even pushing it and like his lines were very lazy. I'd love to know the story behind this run.
