1970 Chevelle SS Dash Restoration Short Version

This is a short version of my restoration of my Chevelle dash cluster and Dash pad. I would like to take the time to thank Chris Craft for his very informative you tube video on the 1970 Chevelle Dash restoration. Enjoy!

I used a small paint pen silver in color from Michaels. You will be amazed with the results.

Amazing, thank you Bob G! I’m trying to restore my 1970 biscayne. Back in the 90s my dad took it to get detailed and the chemicals took off the silver paint that outlines the dash and gauge clusters. Are you saying I can just go over it with silver paint? I see you did it on the letters, did you do it on your gauge cluster outlines too? Hope to hear from you!

Yes you can use silver paint stick. Take your time and it will be awesome.

Great video!!!! Im in the process of restoring the dash in my 70 chevelle. I noticed that your lights are bright. Did you use a led bulb? Also you call this video the short version. Do you have a longer version available? Thank you for your video. I'm a little scared to do this so your video helped a lot

You are most welcome! I used LED's bulbs, and I do have a longer version, but decided to just do the short one instead. My advice to you is take your time and be as meticulous as possible.

Great job on this. On the lens you stated jewlers rouge? Is the lens glass or plastic ... can you give more details on polish you used, by hand or machine etc. Looks like you got great results.

The lens is plastic and I used Cape Cod Polishing Cloth and Cape Cod moist polishing cloth.
