My brother has a 1971 Monte Carlo that we're puttin' together, it's got a 350, bone stock. I was my dad's but he got hit by a drunk driver & it sat for 20 years, now we're gonna have it runnin' soon! Can't wait till we do!

Im 16 and my dad has a '70 Monte SS454, that car is just plain out awesome, it needs a engine, bake work, paint, and interior work. and its a 3 on the tree with a bench (70 SS Monte's never came with 4-speeds but 402 non-SS cars could have.)

Hey man, me and my brother are trying to get his '70 Monte rear end about that height. I was thinking just new shocks and springs, but I don't know which springs will do the job? He's getting a side-exit exhuast just like yours, and I don't want it to be scraping with how much the rear sags.

Go with the original monte carlo air shocks with the filler valve out back by the license plate... or the SS automatic load leveler compressor system!

well your wrong, its not a 3 on the tree, it a 3 speed auto since montes didnt come with 3 on the tree, n yes there is a 70 with a 4 speed,, since i do own a very rusty crusty shit interior 70 mnonte with the round turn lights with a 4 speed
