1970 Citroen HY Camper Van Build Project

I was researching Citroen camper vans, as I have fond memories of camping with one with my parents. I really would love to own one like this one day. Both camper vans my parents had were dark green and I remember that the second one had a sleeper cabin above where my brother and I slept. We traveled all over Europe with it. I have a baby picture of me sitting in front of the back window (mom holding me) and my dad taking a picture at 9 monts old. It is sitting on my tv dresser with a 9 month old baby picture of my husband.

These Citroën vans are works of art. Better looking than a Ford. UK did have Bedford vans in the 1960s.they were nice looking vans too... Modern is boring.

I take my hat off to the manual work on this project. Alone what concerns the body work I can say something, because I was a coachbuilder. I do not have much experience with engines, but what I saw was really good. A nice camper has become that. Je retire mon chapeau pour le travail manuel sur ce projet. Seul ce qui concerne le travail du corps, je peux dire quelque chose, parce que j'étais un carrossier. Je n'ai pas beaucoup d'expérience avec les moteurs, mais ce que j'ai vu était vraiment bon, un bon campeur est devenu ça.
