It is an 50 year old machine, to call this less then a restoration is an insult to you, amazing work!

Nice summary. It came out great. I've an 885 that ive been doing myself. Put it aside for the summer but just getting back at it now again for the winter. It's a labour of love with these old tractors...but worth it!

Fab video, fab job, love to see an old David Brown.....so much character. Love to see you restore a slightly older one from the 50s or early 60s, say a little 850 or 880 in Hunting Pink

Nice one, and that is also a good size/capacity tractor for most work. About your pre-war Peugeot car, I think you can cut and fabricate a door on the passenger side to make it a 2 door car. The time that car was built was when there were still a number of coach builders and car manufacturers used to send unfinished chassis to them to build custom coach bodies on. Thats what I think Peugeot did, build the car with one less door, cheaply and let the customer get the other door put in by the coach works if they wanted.🐞

David Brown, what a workhorse! Steve, you're a very interesting fellow, may I be so bold as to ask you to tell us about your life history? Like, is that a longtime family farm or did you buy it recently? What did you do during your working life? Apologies if this is to personnel.

Hello there I have a 996 and 60% of the bonnet was missing, rusted away as it sat by the sea for 2 years before I got it. Could you tell me what the bonnet measures from the front of the light holder to where the dash attaches please. The centre measurement would do nicely. I am rebuilding it but not for show just to be useable. M 😀
