One very important thing not mentioned on this is the body differance with the Boss 302. It has smoothed rear quarters without the faux vents at the top right after the door jam. This was intended with the Trans Am Racing in mind to make the car more aerodynamic keeping the side of the car as smooth as possible, and these faux side vents created drag. Look at any other model from the Grande to the Mach 1 to even the Boss 429.. the Boss 302 is the only one missing those faux sidevents.

You mention that "it seems that they made about 6318 (spoken as: 'six thousand three hundred and eighteen') of these cars in 1970." Where did you come up with that figure? I have always believed that the number was either 7013 or 7014. Every Marti Report that I have seen for a 1970 BOSS 302, says one or the other. Were you just misspoken or, do I misunderstand the actual total production of 1970 BOSS 302's? I'm not trying to nitpick, I'm just trying to educate myself. Thanks.
