Grew up with a 71, red. Learned how to ride on it, beat the living poop out of it! So much fun, throttle cranked always!

That's gorgeous. My buddiy's little brother had a gold one we use to rip around on in the early 70s until his pop got pissed at us and put an end to it. They were more fun than a Sears mini bike...and more expensive.

You're welcome, glad to help bring back those memories. Your trail bike there is just like the ones we used to have...You should post a video of that bike (I'll bet you had some home-made jumps for it).

its hard to think that by the time that bike was made.honda had allready filled the 3rd world countries with 50's thru 125's.some of which are probably still in use if maintained properly.by 1970, honda had them down to a science & made millions worldwide.

Boy does that bring back memories. I remember just staring at a Honda brochure back then just dreaming to own one of those. But alas, as many kids my age back then my parents said no. Sure would have been a blast I’m sure

Love that Z50 sound. Great job on the restoration. I've got a 1971 CT 70H, and just love these old Honda's.

Where can I buy parts to restore one
@RyanSmithYT5 жыл бұрын
Big Chop production most of the parts came from this website: www.tbparts.com/shop/ but if you want something like a frame you might want to look on eBay or Craiglist for on.

My two brothers and I had one for years. Little thing was quite heavy still we would jump it. We had a ditch with drain pipe under the driveway. We would launch off of that all of the time.

What's the best web site to order parts, I've look but not find a good web site. I just found a 70 Z50A that needs a lot of work but it runs.

I got one in ‘71. Paid $310 for it, sold it for $100 eight years later. Should’ve kept it.

Hi, love the bike, my son turning 16 in a couple of months, wants a monkey, and i will be going to see one in a couple of days. A question, he wants to ride this bike to school, about 4km away, my self i still have my old dax, but a monkey is something a little different, there is no suspension @ the back. Is it ok to drive with a monkey all the time, as they told me it is too hard and too dangerous. The monkey we reserved untill we will see it, looks and sounds perfect, well restorated like yours. any comments please, as i want to know he will be safe, my son is not a rough guy. Thanks Gregory

Depends on your local laws. Get plenty of practice and you should be fine. I'd be afraid of it getting stolen

Hi Bob, The 1970 and 1971 Z50's were virtually unchanged and both carried the designation K1. The 1972 model was the K2 and it was the first Z50 to feature rear suspension. Thank you for your interest
