The build started as a stock Jeep Commando colored in a boring green paint indicative of the 70s. Now, having a documented frame off restoration, the Commando is painted is a bright yellow and offers a fuel injected engine backed by a 5-spd manual transmission. It simply doesn't get much better. Under the hood is a Chevrolet high performance, tuned port, 350 CID V8 engine. Backing the reliable, easy firing engine, is a New Venture 4500 transmission (manual 5-spd). The clutch is nice and tight and due to the upgraded drivetrain, driving this Jeep is a breeze. Options include: Dana 300 transfer case, Dana 44 w/ Detroit Locker 3.73:1 rear gears, Dana 30 front axle, full sized spare, Ramsey 8000 wench w/ remote, custom roll cage, AM/FM radio, CD player, bikini top, front seat belts, cloth bucket seats, radial off-road performance tires(33x12.5x15), and aluminum/alloy wheels. Can you tell me the make and part number of the exhaust headers you installed here. I have the same jeep with the 350 chevy and need to replace the headers with ones that will fit inside the engine casing around all the auxiliary equipment. the jeep already has a custom SS exhaust that i will have to make the headers up to.
