Love it, Ken. When I was in college, my roommate's buddy rode his 1973 H1 to visit. He was complaining that it wasn't running right. I jumped on the bike, ran it thru 1st & 2nd gear, and when I banged 3rd gear the speedo was climbing north of 80mph at an incredible rate. I shut it down because I was riding thru town - speed limit 45mph (oops!). In short, I took it back to the friend and told him he needed to learn how to ride a 2-stroke.
@sonnyseabury4051 Жыл бұрын
Lmao. Yeah, 2 strokes and 4 strokes are two totally different animals to ride. A 2 stroke can put the Fear of God into somebody that is not used to them, when the powerband comes on the pipe, which is The Best Thing About 2 Strokes. A year or so ago, I bought an amazing and beautiful 1985 Yamaha 2 stroke RZ 350 Kenny Robert's Edition Bike, that I LOVE! Before it, I owned a 2007 Honda 919 Hornet 900cc Naked Bike. While the Honda was fast, and it could get pretty aggressive, when I would open it up, it wasn't as much of an aggressive ride, as my 2 stroke 350cc Yamaha. Take Care, Brother.

Over the past 40 years I’ve had all of the Main for Japanese bikes mostly Kawasaki for whatever reason. I purchased a 2021 Z 900 RS café and thought I was going to keep it for a while. Two years later I test the 2023 Yamaha MT 10 and unfortunately I had to let the Kaw go and I haven’t looked back.

Mind blowing. This is thee first one in all practicality. 15 years ago, the CB750/550 fours and Ninjas were all the rage but.... Pretty soon you wont be able to put a price on a bike like this.

That is one gorgeous and badass 2 stroke streetbike. That's the exact one that my Dad had, before I was born in 1973. Dad had a 350cc and 500cc triple. He wanted to get a 750cc. He told me, that they didn't handle anyway near as well, as the 350's and 500's, and that they were pretty much just good, for racing in a straight line. I had no idea that the Overhead Door Company was a business outside of Louisiana too. I have an overhead door, on my garage, which was built in 1988, where I keep both of my bikes. Their doors seem like they'll last forever if you take good care of them. They're not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

The H1 I rode home for my buddy that couldn't ride yet after he had just bought it was white with blue stripes. I wasn't yet 15 but had a dirt bike a rode nearly every day. I just loved the thing. It would wheelie at will anytime anywhere . Just a mean little mother! He ended up crashing it and that's the last time I ever saw it. I really miss those 2 stroke monsters with the hair trigger power bands. And the smell of 2 stroke oil burning! God those really were the days!

There was a brown 1976 Kawasaki H1 500 sitting in the display window of a Burnaby BC Kawasaki dealer for the last 30 years. Last year when I drove by, it was on sale for about 5K but it would have needed to be rebuilt and I live in an apartment. It sold very quickly. I sort of wish I had bought it anyway now.

Awesome bike, especially in that 1970 color Peacock Gray. Looks amazing with the stainless fenders and chrome. I really like the colors for the first three years starting with Midnight White in 69, Peacock Gray and Candy Red in 70, and Candy Blue in 71. I had a 71. Man, I wish I still had it!
