I still have mine from 1970 also! I just played it last weekend with my grown children after many years of it sitting in the closet since they were younger. Now we all can't wait to play it again!

You're going to have some wonderful memories to look back on after playing this with your children ... I used to play this in the early 80s with my mum and dad, We enjoyed this game a lot and those are my memories to look back on ... it is a good game and lots of fun and speculation and reading faces!

@@booth2710 Because of this game, both my children and I learned to name paintings as well as the painters. My oldest daughter is a board game fanatic, so a few years ago, I gave it to her because I know this is one she will never get rid of knowing how much it means to me.

This really is a great game. My sister and I played it as kids and we still have it! It actually could get a child interested in fine art.

This was back in the day when toy and especially board game commercials were fun to watch and were their own "works of art!" I love board game commercials like this one and the ones with Vincent Price!

Was just visiting the Art Institute of Chicago and went around trying to find these original paintings like a scavenger hunt since they've all been there at one time or another! We played this so often back in the 70s that most of the paintings had nicknames 😃🖌

Wonderful days. Me and friends playing this Xmas 1970. Board games were a big part of family life. Then came PAC Man and the like.... try this and similar today you will be surprised, they will love it! I look at the box now and all those memories owing flooding back. I know, sentimental old fool!

Great game, but I always cared more about the value than the artist or picture.

monolyth421 My family played board games all the time when I was little (70's and 80's), but I had never heard of this game until I met my husband. He found it somewhere and now we play it periodically with our kids. They all love it.

We loved playing this game growing up! Pretty straightforward and we actually enjoyed the art cards.

The game is really expensive now.......unfortunately. It's fun, plus we learned a bit about the world's best paintings.

@Broken The price of Masterpiece games in good condition has gone way up in the last year or two. The paintings of the old masters aren't much pricier now.
