I owned one of these 1970 Eliminators in the late eighties. She was a beauty. The color was Competition Orange. 351 Cleveland/Four Barrel, 4:11 rear gears, auto, power windows, etc.

That wooden shifter handle in the Eliminator is the same as in the 1968-1970 Shelby Mustang automatic transmission. I figured it was as close as I was going to get to finding a real Shelby Mustang when I bought my 1970 Cougar Eliminator w/ 351-4V, also in Competition Yellow.

My dad had a 70 eliminator he was the second owner. He bought it when he was 20 . It was Yellow, and had the exact deluxe/houndstooth interior . He always said it was rare. Not sure where it’s at now. But almost thought this was it restored.
