What a beauty! I greatly admire the attention to detail on this tribute, which is very nicely done. Love seeing and hearing you nearly every day with these High Octane vids Steve. You keep all the details I know about muscle cars relevant and teach me new facts so I can bore my friends and family. Thank you for that, brother! I've been reading your Hotrod articles and watching you on TV/internet for 30 years, and hope to for another 30.

Awesome car love it. The engines appears to a 351 Cleveland not a 302 or Boss 302. you tell by the location of the thermostat housing. on a 351C it's located on the engine block. on the 302 or Boss 302 it's on the intake manifold.

The boss 302 is a 4 bolt main solid lifter/cam 302 with the Cleveland 351 4V heads. The valves were so big (bigger than BBC heads) that the Boss 302 was a little bit weak down low in the rpm range

My dear friend bought a 70 boss 302 in the later 70s that was as new. l remember he named it Mary after the mary tyler moore show. People now wont get that reference but even tho l had Camaros then and an AMX that car was wicked and respected by my dad as well when it was still somewhat factory fresh.

Unfortunately the motor in this car is a 351C not a Boss 302. The Boss 302 did use slightly modded 351C heads BUT the upper radiator hose on this motor goes into the block as does the 351C. The Boss 302 had the upper radiator hose going into the intake manifold same as any windsor motor. A bit disappointed that Steve would feature a Fake Boss 302 and not know that it has a 351C in it not a Boss 302 motor.

Boss 302 was the testbed for the later 351C the most miss understood high performance engine. Better than the boss 429 based on the 385 series 429

I will never understand why the rear wing or spoiler is pointed up at the front, which will lift the rear end up at speed instead of increasing traction to the rear tires. Trans- Am race cars would tilt the rear wing down towards the front of the car to help get the power to the track!

Windsor 4-bolt main block. Cleveland heads. Later FORD race engines were patterned after this. Known as "Cleavors." Very successful.
