Ray, she is looking good. I didn’t realize how much work went into a job of that magnitude. Your doing a great job of documenting the whole process. Thanks for sharing, have a great day.

Ray -- As usual , another excellent video. I can see how passonite you are about this Nova. Ten hours of high temperatures at work, and coming home to a hot workshop. The cool weather will upon us soon. Then you can really rock and roll. That Nova will be bad ass. See ya ! Jim

Amazing progress Ray, really terrific work. I had no idea this would lead to a suspension like this. With all those flanges underneath, I hope you are wearing that sanitarium hat LOL

Ray is doing it right. Going to be a nice build. By the way, it’s nobody’s business even if he does get a deal on parts or services. Worry about your own situation guys. Live and let live. Let’s go Brandon!

Great work Ray. I have to say that a car I had with four link suspension did not compare to later ones with fully independent with double jointed driveshafts.

Thanks for documenting the build. Did quick performance fab the rear end up with the ridetech mounts installed for you?

Yes, I sent the Ridetech 4-Link brackets to QP and they welded them up for me.

Hi Ray, thank you for posting this content. I recently bought a 72. I'm doing a frame off now. I'm going to do exactly what your doing. So your measurements are very helpful. Just wondering I think you and I are similar in size. Did you do anything with your drivers seat to make easier for us big guys to sit comfortably. I'm thinking I have to get a different seat. Any suggestions? Thanks again, I will be watching and learning.

Thanks Brother! Yes, it’s a tight inside the car, I was thinking about factory buckets or even trying to move the seat back a few inches. Thanks for tuning in! Cheers, Ray

Did you happen to cut into the center hump for the transmission to fit?
@RaysGarage
@RaysGarage Ай бұрын
I did not have to cut anything to fit the 4L80E, I did have to use the G-Force 4L80E trans crossmember since it's 4" longer than a Turbo400. I also had to use banjo fittings for the cooling lines to fit between the new trans and trans tunnel.

American Racing Torq Thrust II's 18"x11" with 6" backspace mounted on Nitto NT555 G2 315/40 ZR18's I have about 5/8" clearance inside and outside of wheel wheel and can tuck the wheel and tires several inches into the wells.

You said you are going for an old school look... I think you lost that look as soon as you went with those giant wheels and low profile tires...
