I've done similar but I sautéed the cabbage with the beef and onions. Once cabbage is starting to caramelize I add in the rest of the ingredients. One pan, stove top so not as hot in the house on a warm day.😊

I think that would work with a big bag of coleslaw too even if it had a few shredded carrots in it. Coleslaw often goes on sale around holidays in Northern WI. And if you have some hamburger pre fried with onion frozen in ziplocks, you could make this in a few minutes once your rice is cooked. Sometimes my days get busy at clinics with my husband in cancer treatment and a 93 year old mom living with me. Speed meals are wonderful.

Yum! I do look at a books for idea's. But I always do my touches too. Like one thing; My family love mac and cheese. When I am short on time, I get the box of Mac and Cheese. But there is a little trick to make it last a little longer. Also easier to heat up. Box says just boil the water and add noodles. But add a table spoon of vegetable oil, And one shot of salt. Then drain and add cheese, It tastes so much better. Re-heated taste even better. Love ya Tessie, Have a super day!

Enjoyed the video and the bread was gorgeous. By the way I do know your favorite color is brown. But... you absolutely glow in pinks and blues! (just my opinion). Cooking from scratch, is the best cooking. Someone who has been cooking awhile doesn't need a recipe. Here is a recipe for you One Dish Meal One pound ground beef cooked One pound grated cheddar cheese One pound elbow noodles cooked and drained. 3 regular size Tomato soup We make this in a oven safe bowl. Start with some tomato soup Then a layer of noodles Layer of ground beef Keep layering until you use up everything, save some cheddar for the top. Sprinkle some paprika on top, it gives the cheese a lovely golden color. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes Wait 20 minutes than stir. If you don't have a bowl, you can use a baking dish. Have a big family double it. Small family cut the recipe in half or a quarter. I haven't met anyone .who doesn't love this, also great for kids.
