It was fun being a teenager in the 70s. Great music, great people, great memories.

Thanks! This is a great portrayal of our times then. Lots of hair, hot girlfriends, a pack of smokes, a new drivers license, kegger parties, heartbreak and the best of friends. So much like a piece of Norman Rockwell's Americana.

Lots of Keg parties on the weekends with great music , hot chicks, and friends. Freedom to do whatever you wanted. Cool rides and the concerts. Jeans and rock T-shirts. No worries in life. Lava lamps & bongs.

We were cool and didn’t know it, greatest music in history rock or country! Styles that made boys go Wow, girls that were like sisters cause we had respect. No electric technology, cars you could actually work on, Smoke em if ya got em, teachers that would show you how to do stuff. There were some bad times but were outweighed by the good that happened

We were cool, we smoked cigs (not so good later in life), had better and more diverse music, drove cool cars (but I had a 1967 station wagon), no cell phones, we found out where the parties and keggers were by talking to each other, weed was just right and not the knock-out stuff of today, the chicks were foxes without the attitude. Sorry about the leisure suits, though. I could go on forever. It was the best times our lives, we just didn't know it then.

These photos were of teens of rich kids, most teens lived in destitution & poverty with struggling parents, usually forced into being homeless. Employers discriminated against the way employees looked, the length of their hair and especially against the disabled. If you were disabled in the 70's your life was a total hell.
